State-owned power giant NTPC Ltd has announced that its step-down subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd, has begun commercial supply of 165 MW of electricity from the 1,200 MW Khavda-II Solar PV project in Gujarat.
According to a regulatory filing, this marks the commercial operation date (COD) for the fourth phase of the Khavda-II project, effective March 19, 2026.
With this addition, the NTPC Group’s total installed capacity has increased to 88,709 MW, while its commercial capacity now reaches 87,629 MW, further enhancing the company’s renewable energy portfolio.
